Thief
River Falls - Teresa Jensen, 53, died on
Friday, December 5, 2003 at her home in Thief River
Falls.
Funeral
services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday,
(today) Dec. 10, at Ekelund Lutheran Church in
rural Goodridge, with Reverend Bob Dahlen
officiating. Casket bearers will include Kendall
Jensen, Glen Jensen, Don Moen, Jon Grove, Tim
Carlson and Jerry Jensen. Interment will be in
Highlanding Cemetery in, Pennington County.
Visitation
will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
Teresa
Louisa Mallea was born April 12, 1950 in
Huntington, N.Y., the daughter of Louis and Teresa
(Brun) Mallea. The family moved to Venezuela when
Teresa was three years old and when she was 16 she
moved to New Orleans. At the age of 18 she moved
back to Huntington, NY.
Teresa
was united in marriage to Donald Jensen, August 9,
1975 in Huntington, NY. The couple lived in
Wyoming, Oklahoma and North Dakota before moving to
Goodridge in 1978. After her children were older,
Teresa went to work. In 1993 she began working as a
cook/dietary aid at Oakland Park Nursing Home,
where she was still employed. She moved to Thief
River Falls in 2001.
She
enjoyed painting, baking, sewing, gardening, and
crocheting. She liked to dance and especially loved
spending time with her grandchildren. Teresa was a
member of Ekelund Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid
and also enjoyed quilting.
Teresa is
survived by three children, Erik (Kelsey), Neil
(Fiancé, Melissa Zblewski) and Mary Jensen,
all of Goodridge; three grandchildren; one sister,
Lola Mallea, Honolulu, Hawaii; and several nieces
and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by parents and grandparents.
