- Milada P. Jarshaw, 73, died Wednesday, January
16, 2002 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
Services
will be held at 2 p.m.
today
(Wednes-day, January 23) at Collins Funeral Chapel
in Karl-stad with Rev. Gary Halverson officiating.
Kirstin Olson will be the organist, and the soloist
will be Vangie Carlson. Interment will be in Gust
Cemetery in Strathcona.
Visitation
was held after 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 22.
Vistation will also be held from 9 a.m. until the
time of services today at Collins Funeral Chapel.
Milada
Patricia Kruta was born on March 15, 1928 in Moose
River Township of Marshall County near Gatzke, the
daughter of Vaclav and Frances (Florek) Kruta. She
attended Moose River School near her home and
graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture
in Crookston in 1948. After graduating from nurses
training in Crookston in 1950, she was employed as
a nurse in Thief River Falls for several years.
On
June 14, 1952, Milada was united in marriage to Sam
Jarshaw. The couple resided in Thief River Falls
prior to moving to Robbin where they had since
resided.
Over
the years, Milada was involved in a variety of
political affairs.
Survivors
include her husband, Sam; a son, Lew of Robbin; a
daughter, Norine (Roger) Prigg of Grafton, N.D.;
two grandsons; a great-grandson; and several
nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Milada
was preceded in death by her parents and a brother,
Jaroslav.
