Ronald James, 63

Tiro, Ohio - Ron "Jesse" James, 63, formerly of St. Hilaire, died Sunday, December 23, 2001 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, Ohio.

Private graveside services will be held Thursday, December 27, at Tiro (Ohio) Oakland Cemetery. Barkdull Funeral Home of Shelby, Ohio is in charge of the arrangements.

Ron James was born on January 24, 1938 in Borger, Texas, the son of Oran and Virginia (Hargrove) James. He was a pipe line inspector for Union Oil in California for 18 years before retiring in 1984.

On October 26, 1985, he married Della Schiele Miller in San Bernadino, Calif. In 1991, he moved to St. Hilaire and worked at Northern Pride and River Road Casino. In 1997, Jesse moved to Tiro, Ohio where he was employed with Timken Bearing in Bucyrus before retiring in 1999.

He was a member of the Shelby Owls and Masonic Temple in Pampa, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Della James; a son, Ronald Jr. of England; a daughter, Cheryl of California; two stepdaughters, Kim Lian of St. Hilaire and Robin Williams of Burbank, Calif.; and a brother, Dickie James of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
