River Falls, died on Sunday, September 8, 2002 at
Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz.
Memorial
services will be held on a later date in Tucson,
Ariz.
Verna
Stoughton was born on July 5, 1926, the daughter of
Edward and Olive Stoughton in Thief River Falls.
She grew up and graduated from Lincoln High School
in 1944. On September 18, 1948, she married James
C. Hughes at the Methodist Church in Thief River
Falls.
Survivors
include her husband, James; a sister, Ardis (Ralph)
Foster; a nephew, a niece and many other
relatives.
Verna
was preceded in death by her parents and a
nephew.
