Hoglo, 70

St.
Hilaire - Robert "Bob" Hoglo, 70, died on
Monday, June 9, 2003 at Northwest Medical Center in
Thief River Falls.
Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on
Friday, June 13 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in
Thief River Falls with the Rev. Tim McGee
officiating. Casketbearers will be Garret Hoglo,
Derrick McFarlane, David Hoglo, Blake Hoglo, Justin
Rondorf and Andy Rondorf. Honorary casketbearers
will be Jacki Hoglo, Jamie Hoglo, Jenna Hoglo,
Janet Rondorf, Amber Drury, Anthony Drury, Nickolas
Drury, Heidi Hoglo, Liza Hoglo, Seth Hoglo and
Hannah Hoglo. Interment will be in St. Bernard's
Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls with
military honors accorded by the American Legion and
VFW Posts of Thief River Falls. Visitation will be
held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday with a 7:30 p.m.
prayer service and for one hour prior to services
at the church on Friday.
Robert
Joseph Hoglo was born in East Grand Forks on July
6, 1932, the son of William Henry and Marion
(Raymond) Hoglo. He was baptized and confirmed in
the Catholic church. The family moved to Northland,
then to Gonvick, where Robert grew up. He entered
the United States Army in March of 1953 and was
honorably discharged in March of 1955.
On May
19, 1956, he married Deloris Lorraine Olson. The
couple made their home in Thief River Falls and
moved to St. Hilaire in 1970. Bob was a truck
driver for Hartz Wholesale and retired in 1992. He
was a volunteer member of the St. Hilaire Fire
Department and served as city councilman for the
city of St. Hilaire. He enjoyed hunting, fishing
and telling his grandchildren creative
stories.
Survivors
include his wife, Deloris; six children, Gary
(Marilyn) of Thief River Falls, Jodie (Ron) Rondorf
of Thief River Falls, Linda (Mark) Drury of St.
Hilaire, Joe (Dixie) of St. Hilaire, David of St.
Hilaire, and Jim (Angie) of Thief River Falls; 17
grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Sharon) and Dick
(Vonnie), both of Thief River Falls; two sisters,
Candy (Marv) Olson of Thief River Falls, and Jan
(Wally) Lamb of Warren; a sister-in-law, Jane (Bob)
Anderson of Thief River Falls; and several nieces
and nephews.
Robert
was preceded in death by three children, Steven,
Diane and Bobbi Ann; his parents; and a brother,
