Gustine Hermanson, 94

Greenbush - Gustine Hermanson, 94, died Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at the Greenbush Nursing Home in Greenbush.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, at United Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush with Rev. Ken Hart officiating. Eileen Kilen was the organist. Vocalists Lyle and Corrine Mattson were accompanied by Anna Mattson. Casketbearers were Merton Kirkeide, Albin Green, Orin Green, Glenn Sanner, Robert Melby and Gerald Dvergsten. Interment was in Pauli Lutheran Cemetery, rural Greenbush with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush in charge of the arrangements.

Gustine Marie Lillemon was born on May 12, 1907 in Greenbush, the daughter of Helge and Karen (Helgeson) Lillemon. She grew up and attended school in Greenbush and was confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Greenbush.

On November 11, 1935, she married Henry Hermanson. The couple farmed at rural Greenbush. During World War II, they lived in Milwaukee, Wisc. They returned to Greenbush where she had since resided. Henry died in 1969.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Gustine was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Gilbert, Louis and Ingvald Lillemon; and two sisters, Clara VonRohr and Ruth Wehr. A00003B2001DC19
