Paul Herding, 60

Phoenix, Ariz. - Paul W. Herding, 60, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2002 in Mesa, Ariz.

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moorhead. Interment was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Moorhead.

Paul William Herding was born on July 19, 1942, the son of Ben and Catherin (Bommersbach) Herding in Hankinson, N.D. The family moved to Wahpeton, N.D. where Paul graduated from high school. He began his career in the meat business as a meat cutter at National Food store in Wahpeton, N.D.

On April 4, 1961, he married Janet Brodigan in Wahpeton, N.D. He worked as a meat buyer for Super Valu and Hartz Foods in Thief River Falls before moving to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1994. He worked as a meat cutter for Costco Wholesale in Phoenix, Ariz.

Survivors include his wife, Janet of Phoenix, Ariz.; four sons, Jeffrey (Elise) of Denver, Colo., Bradley (Cindy) of Watertown, S.D., Mark of Phoenix, Ariz. and Patrick (Cassidy) of Juneau, Alaska; six grandchildren; four sisters, Marjorie Moore of Moorhead, Lois (Dale) Smith of Breckenridge, Shirley (Rich) Ruggiero of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mary (Albert) Tehle of Bloomington; and three brothers, Donald (Elizabeth) of Red Lake Falls, Roger (Phyllis) of Bowie, Md. and Tom of Wentworth, S.D.
