Thief
River Falls - Nels "Pete" Hendrickson, 91, died
on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Oakland Park Nursing
Home in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 15 at
Grace Lutheran Church in Grygla, with Rev. Robert
Dahlen and Reverend May Ronning Gilthvedt
officiating. Interment was held at Lone Oak
Cemetery in Fourtown.
Nels
Peter Hendrickson was born on July 3, 1912 in
Spruce Grove Township of Beltrami County, the son
of Frank J. and Mary Inga (Blodstrom) Hendrickson.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith
and attended school in Minnie Township of Beltrami
County. He worked at a Floor Covering Company in
Minneapolis, for 27 years, from 1961 to 1987. Nels
moved to Bagley, and worked, taking care of cattle,
for many years. Nels moved to Grygla, and in 2003
he moved to Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief
River Falls.
Nels
is survived by nieces and nephews: Ray (Judie)
Hendrickson of Grygla, Francis Rogers of Bemidji,
Dianne Benson of Crookston, Emily Kriz, Lawrence
LaCourse, Wilfred LaCourse, Carol Schmidt and
Frances Otterkill, all of St. Paul.
He
was preceded in death by his parents.
