Lake Falls - Lois Helm, 78, died Monday, March
25, 2002 at her winter home in Mission,
Texas.
A
memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4,
at 10 a.m. at St. 
Joseph's
Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim
Bushy officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's
Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake Falls.
Lois
May Helm was born on September 30, 1923, the
daughter of Joseph and Laura (Cyr) Helm. Lois
worked at REA before opening Helm Apparel, which
she operated for many years. Following her
retirement, she spent the winters in Mission, Texas
where she enjoyed golfing and volunteering at a
local grade school. During the summers, she
returned to Red Lake Falls where she spent her time
fishing, golfing, and visiting friends.
Survivors
include a sister, Vivian Soland of Tacoma,Wash.; a
cousin; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Lois
was preceded in death by her parents; a sister,
Ione Bendel; and three brothers, Cyrus, Wilbur, and
