Clifford Helgeland, 89

Wautoma, Wisc. - Clifford B. "Doc" Helgeland, 89, died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at his son's home in Deerfield, Wisc.

Services were held on Thursday, February 8, at St. John's Life Enrichment Center with Rev. Richard Schauer officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill Memorial Park with Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma in charge of the arrangements.

Clifford B. Helgeland was born on March 31, 1911 in Pennington county, the son of Ole and Emma (Valtinson) Helgeland.

He married Florence Sletten and worked on the family farm in Pennington county. He later moved to Cudahy, Wisc. where he was employed at Patrick Cudahy Co. for many years before retiring as a meat packer.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Florence Sletten Maidment; a son, Duane (Denese) of Wautoma; four daughters, June (Homer) Martin of Arkansas, Shirley (Don) Pukkila of Wausaukee, Wisc., Ardella (Jim) Zaeske and Kaylene (Jesse) Rames, both of Cudahy, Wisc.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers, Arnold, Leonard, Ervin, Benjamin, Edvin, Selmer, Oliver, Francis and William. A00003B2000MA14
