Mark Hasby, 39

St. Hilaire - Mark Hasby, 39, died on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 near St. Hilaire.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 23 at Calvary Hasby, Mark Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire with Rev. Terri Cuppett officiating. Deb Rustad was the organist and Penny Schindler was the soloist. Casketbearers were Leo Farias, Mike Gustafson, Jerry Helm, Rick Nelson, Kelly Iverson, Rex Crapeau, Gary Hasby and Gary Iverson. Interment was in the Community Cemetery in St. Hilaire.

Mark Dean Hasby was born on November 3, 1963, the son of Howard and Alice (Cork) Hasby in Warren. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Calvary Lutheran Church and attended school in St. Hilaire and at Franklin Middle School and Lincoln High School. He attended the AVTI in Thief River Falls for auto mechanics and graduated in 1983.

On December 21, 1984, Mark married Sharon Helm in St. Hilaire. The couple lived in Red Lake Falls and in 2001, they moved to St. Hilaire. He worked for Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Lakehead Pipeline, Pepsi and the Land O' Lakes turkey plant. Most recently, he was employed at the Seven Clans Casino.

Mark collected wolves and angels. He liked helping other people and enjoyed working on electronics and cars. He was a fan of professional wrestling and liked to have fun.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon of St. Hilaire; one son, Andrew of St. Hilaire; his father, Howard of Thief River Falls; two brothers, Tim of Fisher and Dale of St. Hilaire; four sisters, Missy Iverson of St. Hilaire, Lisa Benton of Thief River Falls, Lolly (Bruce) Boe of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Denise of Marysville, Wash.; 11 nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Alice; half-brother, Kenny Liebl; grandparents; and one nephew. A00003B2002NV27
