Chester Hanson, 67

Plummer - Chester Hanson, 67, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 21 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer with Rev. Frank Ehling officiating. Linda Olson was the organist and Duane Morey was the soloist. Special musical selections were "Here I Am Lord" and "In The Garden." Honorary casketbearers were all of Chester's family and friends.

Chester Laverne Hanson was born on March 19, 1935, the son of John and Jessie (Kolstrand) Hanson in Hickory Township. He was confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Oklee. He attended the Solberg country school and then high school in Oklee. He farmed near Plummer all of his life and spent many winters living with his sister, Alice and brother, Woody. Chester enjoyed playing cards, especially whist. He also enjoyed visiting the casinos.

Survivors include two brothers, Telton (Darlyne) of Minneapolis and John "Woody" of Minneapolis; a sister, Alice Carlson of Minneapolis; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Pederson; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eva Pederson and Berniece Nerva; and three brothers, Myles, LeRoy and Ernest. A00003B2002SP25
