Eden
Prairie - Marie Josephine Hallstrom, 90,
formerly of Thief River Falls, died on Friday,
January 10, 2003 in Hopkins.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, January 13 at the
Huber Funeral Home Chapel in Eden Prairie with Rev.
Raita Neely officiating. Interment was held on
Tuesday, January 14 at Roselawn Cemetery in
Roseville.
Marie
Josephine Anderson was born on January 8, 1913, the
daughter of Felix and Esther Anderson in Wylie
Township. She grew up in the Thief River Falls and
St. Hilaire area and went to rural school. In 1935,
she married Clarence Hallstrom in Black River
Township. The couple made their home in St.
Hilaire, and later, in Thief River Falls. Marie
moved to Eden Prairie, where she has since
resided.
Survivors
include a daughter, Karen (Mike) Larson of
Minnetonka; a son-in-law, Peter Steuerwald of Eden
Prairie; six grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
Marie
was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, and
a daughter, Janice Steuerwald.
