River Falls - Anna Hallameck, 97, died on
Saturday, August 10, 2002 in Engelwood,
Colo.
Mass
of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August
16 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River
Falls with Father Tim McGee officiating. Interment
will follow the service in St. Bernard's Catholic
Cemetery.
Visitation
will be held at Johnson-Green Funeral Home from 5
to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 15. A prayer service
will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will also take
place one hour prior to services at the
church.
Anne
Rita Hallameck was born on August 20, 1904, the
daughter of Emery and Anna (Haberman) Hallameck in
Kimbry. At the age of 12, she moved to St. Hilaire
where she attended school. After graduating from
high school, she moved to Washington, D.C. where
she lived with her sisters. She worked as a
stenographer for the Justice Department. She later
moved to New York City and continued working for
the federal government as an attorney assistant.
She moved to Grand Forks, N.D. in 1992 and lived
there until May of 1997 when she moved to be closer
to her family in Littleton, Colo.
Survivors
include her nieces and nephews.
Anna
was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters,
Anna Hallameck and Agnes Crawford; and her
brother.
