Thief River Falls - Dorothy Greisen, 68, died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

A gathering for family and friends will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 11 at the Best Western in Thief River Falls.

Dorothy Steineke was born May 24, 1935 in Lancaster, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Kumm) Steineke. She grew up, attended and graduated from High School in Baudette. She also attended college in Mayville, N.D. and was employed there as a Lab Technician.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard Greisen in Reno, Nev. She worked in Fargo, N.D. as a medical secretary. The couple lived in Thief River Falls since 1965 and Dorothy worked at the Heritage Center.

She held membership in the Elks at Thief River Falls. She liked to hunt and fish and very much enjoyed spending time with her dog, Benji.

Survivors include her children, Jeff and Richard "Todd" (Janis) Greisen, all of Thief River Falls and Sean (Brenda) Greisen of Red Lake Falls; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and sister, Lois. A00003B2004MR10
