Yvonne Green, 71

Middle River - Yvonne Green, 71, died Saturday, September 8, 2001 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held at 11 Yvonne Green Obit a.m. on Monday, September 10, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt with Rev. Irvin Schmitke officiating. Yvonne Larson was the organist, and the soloist was Bob Skoglund. Casketbearers were Gordon Dunham, Clifford Larson, Arvid Matero, Daryl Johnson, David Johnson and Larry Hagen. Interment was in Ringbo Cemetery with Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls in charge of the arrangements.

Yvonne Aileen Johnson was born on February 3, 1930 in Holt, the daughter of Hjalmer and Emma (Stokke) Johnson. She was confirmed in Holt and attended school in Newfolden, graduating in 1947.

On May 29, 1956, she was united in marriage to Duane LaVerne Green at Cass Lake. The couple has made their home near Middle River and Holt. Yvonne worked at Sears, Gambles and Digi-Key.

She served as Holt Township clerk and church janitor and belonged to a homemakers club, ladies aid, Aid Association for Lutherans and the Middle River American Legion Auxiliary.

Yvonne enjoyed driving Jeremiah to work, quilting, flowers and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Duane of Middle River; a daughter, Dawn (John) Gilmore of Ramsey; three sons, Rudy (Pam) Rose of Bloomington, Darrin Green of Grand Forks, N.D. and Corey Green of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Roxann (Robert) Jarvinen of Britt and Sandee Green-Burley-Frye of Tucson, Ariz.; a stepson, Stephen Burley of Bellingham, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Hyatt of Thief River Falls.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brady Lee Green; two sisters, Eloise Gilbert and Eunice Hagen; and a brother, Francis Johnson. A00003B2001SP12
