Colo. - LaVonne "Dolly" Gray, 60, formerly of
Thief River Falls, died on Saturday, August 3, 2002
at Hospice of Metro Denver in Denver,
Colo.
Funeral
services were held in Thornton, Colo.
Graveside
services will be held on Saturday, August 31 at
Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls with Rev.
Carol Erickson officiating.
LaVonne
"Dolly" Taggart was born on May 14, 1942, the
daughter of Lester and Elvira (Hallin) Taggart. She
grew up and attended Lincoln High School. Dolly
worked at the Northwestern Hospital in Thief River
Falls and was a long-time employee with the Target
Corporation in Denver, Colo.
She
enjoyed arts, crafts, sewing, cooking, cards, bingo
and visiting with people. She was a Baptist by
faith.
Survivors
include a daughter, Brenda R. Bernard or Byers,
Colo.; a son, Bradley (Sherri) J. Bernard of
Thornton, Colo.; two grandchildren; her mother,
Elvira Taggart of Lakeland, Fla.; six sisters,
Ivadell (Robert) Myhrer of Lakeland, Fla., Dorothy
(Don) Johnson of Coon Rapids, Lois (Adrian) Larson
of Roseau, Marilyn (Jim) Erickson of Hawick, Carol
(Peter) Teigen of Hawley and Fae (Gene) Becklund of
Redwood Falls; two brothers, Duane (Sharon) of
Greenbush and Jim (Marlene) of Newfolden; father of
children, Dale R. Bernard of Byers, Colo.;
stepfather of children, Robert Gray of Dolphin
Island, Ala.; and many nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Dolly
was preceded in death by a son, Dean Richard
Bernard and her father, Lester Taggart.
