Greenbush
- Juel Graff, 94, died on Tuesday, February 11,
2003 at the Greenbush Nursing Home in
Greenbush.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, February 15 at
Oiland Lutheran Church with the Rev. LeRoy
Flickinger officiating. Lynn Balstad was the
pianist and Bill Wagner was the vocalist.
Casketbearers were Juel's grandsons: Jesse, Wade
and Monte Graff; James and Michael Bergsnev; and
Mitchell, Virgil, Brian and Rocky Roggenbuck.
Interment will be held in Oiland Lutheran Cemetery
in the spring.
Juel
Efford Graff was born on September 18, 1908, the
son of Julius H. and Emma (Hellickson) Graff in
Soler Township of Roseau County. He grew up and
attended school there.
On
December 14, 1932, he married Agnes Hudson in
Greenbush. The couple farmed for several years,
north of Greenbush. In 1941, they moved to
Wessington, S.D., where they farmed. They moved to
Lake Bronson before moving back to their farm near
Greenbush, where they continued to lived until
1971, when they moved into Greenbush. Juel was a
lifelong farmer and did custon threshing for
several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and
trapping. He was a member of Oiland Church and had
served on Island Home School Board.
Survivors
include three sons, Robert (Ruth) of Greenbush,
Joel (Delphine) of Greenbush and Larry (Betty) of
Moorhead; two daughters, JoAnn (John) Roggenbuck of
Embarass and Annette Bergsnev of Greenbush; 16
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven
step-great-grandchildren; one great
great-granddaughter; a son-in-law; a brother,
Reuben (Martha) of Fosston; and a sister, Deborah
Sather of Greenbush.
Juel
was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes; two
grandsons; a granddaughter; three brothers,
Clarence, Oscar and Hector Graff; and two sisters,
Judy Bergan and Eleanor Hudson.
