Lake
Havasu City, Ariz. - Thomas J. Gagner, 27 died
Saturday, March 9, 2002 in a traffic accident in
Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Mass
of Christian burial was
held
at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church in Brooks with Father Tim
Bushy officiating. Cindy Lambert was the organist.
Vocalists included Carolyn Rystad, Tanya Melby,
Lori Melby, and Steph Koralewski. Jacob Riendeau
and Jordan Riendeau were the mass servers, and Rose
Wold, Karen Larson, and Clarence Gagner were the
eucharistic ministers. Claire Berberich was the
reader. Gift bearers were Tracy Carriere and Bobbi
DuChamp. Serving as casketbearers were Cary
Berberich, John Berberich, Lance Berberich, Greg
Hahn, Brian Peterson, and Tony Plante. Honorary
casketbearers were the members of the Oklee High
School Class of 1993. Military honors were accorded
by the Plummer American Legion Post. Interment was
in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Brooks with Green
Funeral Home of Thief River Falls in charge of the
arrangements.
Thomas
Jay Gagner was born on March 2, 1975 in Thief River
Falls, the son of Poncho and Char (Berberich)
Gagner. He grew up in Brooks and graduated from
Oklee High School. In June of 1993, Tom joined the
United States Marine Corps and served three years
in Twenty Nine Palms, Calif. and two six-month
tours in Okinawa, Japan.
On
December 9, 1995, Tom married Deserie Black. The
couple made their home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
with their four children. Previous, Tom worked for
United van Lines in Lake Havasu City, and he was
currently employed by Bear Trucking of San
Bernadino, Calif.
He
enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, four-wheeling, and
especially, spending time with his family and
friends.
Survivors
include two sons, Cody and Kyle Gagner; two
stepdaughters, Amanda and Ashley Black; his
parents, Poncho and Char Gagner of Brooks; a
sister, Jenny (Mark Yawitz) Gagner of Phoenix,
Ariz.; and a brother, Derek Gagner of Brooks, his
grandparents, Robert and Rose Gagner and Frederic
and Delores Berberich. .
