They then moved to Fergus Falls for three years, while Harley went to seminary. After he finished seminary, they moved to Westby, Wisc., where she worked as a nurse. The couple moved to Platte, S.D. for 20 years until they retired. Berneice worked at several jobs until they opened the Aristocrat Inn Restaurant in Platte. She was the founder of Aristo Pie Company, whose pies are still found in stores today. She retired from the pie company in March 2003 and began working at a nursing home in Platte, S.D., helping feed the residents. She often baked cakes, breads and jellies and would visit the elderly ladies of Platte, sharing her baked goods and praying with them.

George) Davis of Thief River Falls, Diane (Gerald) Sutton of Ogilvie, Steven (Marie) of Platte, S.D., and Ruth (Charles) Anholt of Platte, S.D. ; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Karen Chensvold of West Union, Iowa, Gertrude Witt of Elkader, Iowa, and Lavanna Frey of West Union, Iowa.
