- Norris C. Fevold, 94, died Wednesday, January
9, 2002 at Roseau Area Hospital in
Roseau.
Private
services were held Saturday, January 12, at Gieseke
Funeral Chapel in Greenbush with Rev. Ken Kramer
officiating. Interment was in Silent City Cemetery
in Roosevelt.
Norris
C. Fevold was born on March 24, 1907 in Aneta,
N.D., the son of Christ and Signe (Brekke) Fevold.
He attended school in North Dakota before settling
in Reine Township of Roseau County with his
parents.
On
September 30, 1930, Norris married Mabel Folling.
He farmed and operated a general repair shop. In
1946, Norris and his family moved to Roseau where
he worked for International Harvester and later
operated a shoemaker and repair service.
In
addition to his natural talent for fixing things,
Norris enjoyed amateur photography and
woodworking.
Survivors
include his wife, Mabel of Williams; two sons,
Clifford (Jean) Fevold of Roseau and Ordean (Joan)
Fevold of Camarillo, Calif.; a daughter, Shirley
(Jack) Neumiller of Williams; 15 grandchildren; 39
great-grandchildren; nine great
great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth of Warroad;
and two sisters, Leone Lee of Minneapolis and Selma
Sjaahiem of Salem, Ore.
Norris
was preceded in death by his parents; a brother,
Olaf; a sister, Della McDermaid; and a
granddaughter, Nadean McInnis.
