Lloyd Engebretson, 68 Red Lake Falls - Lloyd Engebretson, 68, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at the Northwood Group Home in Red Lake Falls. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 12 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls with the Rev. Gary Graff officiating. Dawn Halvorson was the organist. Casketbearers were Jim Gilbertson, Vic Nord, Kevin Reich, Paul Johnson, Joe Bauer and Dennis Haglund. Honorary casketbearers were Bob LaJambe, Ron Nelson, Joe Skala and Robbie Brown. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Red Lake Falls. Lloyd Engebretson was born on December 8, 1934, the son of Clarice Engebretson, in Red Lake County. He lived with foster parents in his early life. He also lived in Brainerd, Cambridge and Fergus Falls. In June 1972, he moved to the Johnson Riverside Boarding Home in Thief River Falls, where he resided until 1989. Lloyd then moved to the Fosston area, where he lived until August 1997, when he moved to Northwood Group Home in Red Lake Falls. Lloyd worked at the HTC in Red Lake Falls until he became ill. In Lloyd's earlier years, he had an interest in working outdoors and helping with farm work. Lloyd had a good sense of humor. He enjoyed interacting with staff, both where he lived and in the work place. His hobbies included reading, attending Men's Club at Bethany, listening to the radio and following the Twins. Too Tall Tom's weather report was always part of Lloyd's conversations. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Lloyd has no known living relatives; he will be missed by his friends and the staff who worked with him. A00003B2003AR16
