- LaVonne Enerson, 55, died Saturday, October
20, 2001 at her home in Arlington.
Services
were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, at
Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington. Casketbearers
were Arlan Fore, Don Fossum, Gaylen Enerson,
Wallace Nelson, Norman Pichelmann and Wayne Kramer.
Honorary bearers were Darlene Pichelmann, Julie
Aanenson, Myrna Engebretson, Anne Hammer, Betty
Rudo and Doris LaJambe. Interment will be today
(Wednesday, October 24) in Zion Lutheran Cemetery
in Oklee with Kolden Funeral Directors of Arlington
in charge of the arrangements.
LaVonne
Genevieve Fossum was born on November 2, 1945 in
Bagley, the daughter of George and Hazel (Wedger)
Fossum. She grew up in Oklee and graduated from
Oklee High School in 1963.
On
February 27, 1965, she married Lowell Enerson at
Clearwater Lutheran Church in Oklee. LaVonne was a
stay-at-home mother for 19 years and then worked as
a cook for the Oklee School until 1998. After
moving to Arlington in 1998, she worked as the
community education coordinator for Sibley East
Public Schools in Gaylord.
LaVonne
was active with Lutheran Brotherhood of Sibley
County.
She
enjoyed singing, performing with numerous community
singing groups and church choirs and at
funerals.
LaVonne
is survived by her husband, Lowell; a son, Kevin
(Mardi) of LeSueur; a daughter, Joelle (friend
David) of Vadnais Heights; two grandchildren; her
mother, Hazel Olson of Thief River Falls; two
brothers, Gary (Dianne) Fossum of Thief River Falls
and Larry (Karen) Fossum of Oklee; a sister, Donna
Fossum of Oklee; and several niece and
nephews.
She
was preceded in death by her father; stepfather,
Raymond Olson; and a brother, Gene
Fossum.
