Theodore Delorme, 92

Red Lake Falls - Theodore Delorme, 92, died Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.

Mass of Christian burial was held  Delorme obit Saturday, February 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Polly Beyer was the organist, and special music was presented by St. Joseph's Church Choir. Casketbearers were Mike Delorme, Tom Delorme, Wade Cardinal, Darcy Cardinal, Aaron Cardinal, and Don Delorme. Interment was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake Falls with Johnson Funeral Service in charge of the arrangements.

Theodore Napoleon Delorme was born on June 27, 1909 at Red Lake Falls, the son of Adelard and Fabianna (Delorme) Delorme. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and attended St. Joseph's School and LaFayette High School in Red Lake Falls.

On February 20, 1939, Theodore was united in marriage to Elizabeth Marcotte in Red Lake Falls. The couple farmed near Red Lake Falls. Theodore also worked for American Crystal in Crookston from 1958 until 1975. Elizabeth died on November 18, 1977. Theodore retired in 1980 and moved into Red Lake Falls in 1990. In 1998, he moved to Hillcrest Nursing Home, residing there until the time of his death.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Terrebonne and later, St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, farming and playing cards.

Theodore is survived by a son, Ray (Gloria) Delorme of Red Lake Falls; a daughter, Sally (Roger) Cardinal of Red Lake Falls; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernadette Berg of Springfield, Ore.; a brother, George (Alice) Delorme of Red Lake Falls; two nieces; and a nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roe Delorme. A00003B2002FB20
