John Dargon, 39

St. Hilaire - John Joseph Dargon, 39, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2002, near St. Hilaire.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 30 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Rev. Tim McGee officiating. Kristi LaSalle was the organist. Casketbearers were Danny Vasek, Terry Vasek, Jamie Dargon, Terry Dargon, Todd Kruse, Richard Dargon, Christopher Dargon and Lance Tollefson. Honorary casketbearers were all of John's friends. Interment was in the Community Cemetery near St. Hilaire.

John Joseph Dargon was born on August 24, 1963, the son of Rayton and Lonie (Gaber) Dargon in Red Lake Falls. He was baptized at St. Dorothy Catholic Church and confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. He attended school in St. Hilaire and graduated in 1981 from Lincoln High School. He worked at Marvin Windows in Warroad for 18 years and was currently a salesman in Minneapolis for Town and Country Fence.

John loved fishing, watching the Vikings and Twins, playing chess, snowmobiling and four-wheeling.

Survivors include a special friend, Tammy Krabbenhoft of Burnsville; mother, Lonie Dargon of St. Hilaire; sisters, Janet Vasek of East Grand Forks, Beatrice (Larry) Kruse of St. Hilaire, Karen (Allan) Young of St. Hilaire, Kathy Sorrels of Warroad and Brenda Gervais of Red Lake Falls; brothers, Rayton Dargon Jr. of East Grand Forks, Duane (Vickie) of Red Lake Falls and Gary of St. Hilaire; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

John was preceded in death by his father, a nephew and a great-nephew. A00003B2002DC04
