Gladys Dahlstrom, 81

Hillsboro, N.D. - Gladys J. Dahlstrom, 81, died Friday, October 26, 2001 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Gladys Benson was born on February 19, 1920 in Hillsboro, N.D., the daughter of Anton and Ida Benson. She grew up in Hillsboro, attended Hillsboro High School and was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

On October 12, 1940, she married Edwin Dahlstrom in Detroit Lakes. The couple farmed in Kelso, N.D. After Edwin's death in 1978, Gladys moved to Hillsboro.

She is survived by a son, Glenn (Carol) Dahlstrom of Hillsboro; three daughters, Norma (Lawrence) Spong of Thief River Falls, Barbara (Donald) Halvorson of Battle Lake and Darlene (Ernest) Melsby of Ham Lake; a sister, Alice Engen of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
