Helen Dahlberg, 79

Thief River Falls - Helen Dahlberg, 79, died Sunday, September 9, 2001 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, at Green Funeral Home Chapel in Thief River Falls with Rev. Troy Bates officiating.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services.

Helen Pearl Spesinger was born on April 7, 1922 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Pearl Spesinger. She grew up and attended high school in Missouri. Helen then attended college, receiving an association degree in business. She worked as a secretary and office manager in Los Angeles for many years.

In April of 1955, she was united in marriage to Carl A. Dahlberg Jr. in Albuquerque, N.M. The couple resided in various locations throughout the world. In 1996, Helen moved to Thief River Falls to be with her son and daughter-in-law, and in 1999, she moved to Oakland Park Nursing Home where she had since resided.

She enjoyed spending time with her cats, reading, listening to music and especially, spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by a son, Carl A. Dahlberg (LaWren Giesbrecht) of Red Lake Falls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Ray Spesinger. A00003B2001SP12
