Thief
River Falls - Alice Dagen, 77, died on
Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at Northwest Medical
Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral
services were held on Tuesday, December 10 at
Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with
Rev. Karen Moberg officiating. Joyce Halbasch was
the organist and Jan and Deiedre Nordin were the
soloists. Casketbearers were Martin Lieberg, Jeff
Howell, Mike Philipp, Bill Stock, Jaeden Pederson
and Justin Dagen. Honorary casketbearers were
Robert Boman, Michael Boman and John Guzior.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River
Falls.
Alice
H. Lieberg was born on February 2, 1925, the
daughter of Ben and Ida Lieberg in Haug. She was
baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She
attended school in Greenbush and at Bemidji State
University.
On
June 26, 1948, Alice was united in marriage to
Merle Dagen in Greenbush. The couple were life-long
farmers in the North Township area. They moved to
Thief River Falls in 1990. Alice taught school for
many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking,
reading and traveling. She was a member of Redeemer
Lutheran Church and served on many
committees.
Survivors
include three daughters, Susan Alexander of
Kalamazoo, Mich., Myrna Boman of Ft. Pierce, Fla.
and Stephanie Dagen of Thief River Falls; three
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Alice
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
Merle; and one brother, Axel Lieberg.
