obit-Miles CorneillieOmaha, Neb. - Miles Anthony Corneillie, 51, died on Thursday, May 8, 2004 in Omaha, Neb.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 18 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls.

Miles Corneillie was born September 28, 1952 in Altona, Canada. Miles grew up in Thief River Falls, where he attended St. Bernard's through the eighth grade and went on to graduate from Lincoln High School in 1969.

On July 16, 1971 he married Judy Kay Knutson. He joined the Marines later that same year, andhe was stationed in Hawaii for four years and in Albany, Ga. for another three years.

Miles was an avid bowler and just loved to ride bike. He also enjoyed sports and grilling out. But most of all, Miles loved being with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Oscar Corneillie Sr. of Hoople, N.D.; Melda Marciniah of Thief River Falls; one grandmother, Doris Marciniah; one daughter, Jenelle Ortega of Omaha, Neb. one son, Dennis (Amy) Corneillie of League City, Texas; two grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bud Corneillie of Hoople, N.D., David Corneillie of Hoople, N.D., Karen (Dan) Sandahl of East Grand Forks; Kristy (Kent) Wagner of Thief River Falls; Kelly (Michael) Corneillie; Michael Nelson of Fargo, N.D.; Peggy Corneillie of Hoople, N.D.; step-sisters, JoAnn of Austin; Jeri of Rochester; one step-brother, Jason Lorenzon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Judy; a baby daughter Patricia; his grandfather, William Marcinias; one step-mother, Judy Corneillie; one step-brother, Jeff Lorenzon; and two special aunts.
