Kasson
- Sebastian Cooley, 2 years, 8 months, formerly
of Thief River Falls, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at
St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, where he was
undergoing treatment for Neuroblastoma
Cancer.
Mass
of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wed.,
May 12 (today), at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in
Thief River Falls, with Father Tim McGee
officiating. Interment will be held at the St.
Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Visitation
will be held for one hour prior to the services at
the church.
Sebastian
James Terrence Cooley was born September 7, 2001,
in Grand Forks, N.D., the son of James Terrence
Cooley Jr. and Renae Ann (Slininger) Cooley.
Sebastian lived in Thief River Falls until October
17, 2003 when he was diagnosed with cancer. He
spent the remainder of his life at St. Mary's
Hospital and at his new home in Kasson.
He
spent his life playing, laughing, and making new
friends all over.
Survivors
include his by parents, James of Thief River Falls
and Renae Cooley of Kasson; one brother, Keneth
Strand Jr., four sisters, Katie Strand of Kasson,
Cearra Strand of Kasson, Kortney Cooley of
Rochester and Samantha Cooley of Mankato;
grandparents, Shirley and Ralph Slininger of Thief
River Falls, Linda Cooley of Orange County, Calif.;
two great-grandmothers, Alma Gagner of Red Lake
Falls and Mary Sullivan of Owatonna; and by
cousins, uncles, and aunts.
He
was preceded in death by an older brother Andrew
Slininger; and a paternal grandfather James Cooley.
