Hallock
- Johnny Clow, 92, died on Saturday, June 28,
2003 at the Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in
Hallock.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 3
at First Presbyterian Church in Hallock. Interment
will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Hallock.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on
Wednesday, July 2 at the Adamson-Austin-Hughes
Funeral Home in Hallock with a 7 p.m. prayer
service.
Johnny M.
Clow was born in Orleans on January 5, 1911, the
son of Ambrose and Mary (Dennis) Clow. He was
baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian faith
and attended school in Orleans.
On
October 1, 1946, he married Elsie Hoffmann. The
couple made their home in Clow Township, near
Orleans, where they farmed. During this time,
Johnny began the Northwestern Auction Service,
which existed for 37 years. He loved life, his
family, his grandchildren, auctioneering, farming
and square dancing. He was a member of First
Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder.
He also served on the Clow Township board for
several years.
Survivors
include his wife, Elsie; sons, Galen (Cindy) and
Gary (Peggy), both of Thief River Falls, and Allen
(Cindy) of Lancaster; eight grandchidren; six
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
Johnny
was preceded in death by his parents; three
brothers, George, Gordon and Sheldon; and one
sister, Beatrice Brown.
