Christofferson, 89
Thief
River Falls - Mable Christofferson, 89, died on
Friday, April 11, 2003 at Northwest Medical Center,
CNC Unit, in Thief River Falls.
Funeral
services were held on Tuesday, April 15 at Zion
Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with the Rev.
Dennis Raymond officiating. Interment was in
Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Mable A.
Christofferson was born on April 4, 1914, the
daughter of Carl and Anne (Skomedal)
Christofferson, in Thief River Falls. She graduated
from Lincoln High School in 1932. Following high
school, she worked in her father's grocery store,
Golden Rule, until it was sold. She then began
working at Ekeren Drug. Mable enjoyed meeting the
different people who came into Ekeren's and she
loved working there. She retired in 1980. Mable was
a resident of Valley Home for a year and lived in
CNC for two months. She was a member of Zion
Lutheran Church and enjoyed her time in Leisure
Fellowship. She was also a member of the American
Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her friends and
family and loved going for coffee and lunch with
them. She also enjoyed young children.
Survivors
include a brother, Rueben of Fergus Falls; a
sister, Eleanor (Pete) Bradley of Thief River
Falls; a sister-in-law; a nephew and a niece; and
several close friends.
Mable was
preceded in death by her parents; a sister,
Florence Frankenberger; a brother, Alvin; and one
