John Allen Reitmeier Christianson, 36

Emarado, N.D. - John Allen Reitmeier Christianson, 36, of Emarado, N.D., formerly of McIntosh, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, August 20 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with Rev. Elton Jorde officiating. Interment was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in McIntosh.

John Christianson was born on June 20, 1966, the son of Judy Christianson in Red Lake Falls. He was baptized at St. Francis Xavier Church in Oklee. He lived in Fosston for five years. Then he moved to McIntosh where he attended school. Later, he graduated from Northwest Technical College in Thief River Falls with a degree in welding.

John worked as a semi-truck driver, and also worked construction. He loved being a volunteer fireman.

Survivors include his son, Dakota Wayne Christianson; mother, Judy Reitmeier (Wendel) Webster of McIntosh; one brother, Thomas (Wendy) Reitmeier of Fort Polk, La.; grandparents, Selmer and Cecelia Christianson of Oklee; six step-brothers, Daniel and Steven Webster of Crookston, Charles (Marjorie) Reitmeier of Moorhead, Keith (Arlys) Reitmeier of Grand Forks, N.D., Steven (Patty) Reitmeier of Coon Rapids; and Timothy (Sandy) Reitmeier of Bemidji; Val Rass of Bemidji; special friend, Brenda and her son, Mike; and many other relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by grandpa Charlie (Charles Reitmeier, his father) and his grandmother, Bertha Reitmeier.
