Adeline Burrell, 86

Thief River Falls - Adeline Burrell, 86, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Rev. George Davis officiating. Music was provided by the Trochman Family. Casketbearers included Jim Ellis, Lloyd Wagner, Dennis McCullough, Kenny Wagner, Scott Brandon, and Wesley Pesek. Interment was in the German Evangelical Cemetery in Middle River.

Adeline Helen Wagner was born on March 26, 1915 in Cedar Township of Marshall County, the daughter of William and Ida (Paetznick) Wagner. She attended Koepp School in Cedar Township and was baptized and confirmed at Thief Lake Lutheran Church.

On May 31, 1933, Adeline was united in marriage to Carl Burrell at the Methodist parsonage in Thief River Falls. The couple farmed in Cedar Township and later moved to the Ringbo area where they resided for 10 years before moving to Thief River Falls in 1974.

Adeline enjoyed gardening, flowers, caring for farm animals, and especially, spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Carl of Thief River Falls; two sons, Conrad (Shirley) of Middle River and Ronald (Beverly) of Salem, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alma Wagner of Middle River and Ann Peterson of Gatzke; and a son-in-law, Merton Hutchinson of Thief River Falls.

Adeline was preceded in death by two daughters, Joan Burrell and Juanita Hutchinson; her parents; a sister, Selma McCollough; and four brother, Anton, Harvey, John and Emmett Wagner.
