Funeral services were on Monday, Feb. 23, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Mark Helgeland officiating. Casket bearers included Jeff Brouse, Troy Myhrer, Paul Omdahl, Bob Fladeland, Pete Gudmundson Mike Holmgren, Jimmy Sletten, John Azure, Travis Housey, Josh Haverkamp. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Lance Bugge was born on August 20, 1970 in Thief River Falls, the son of Keith and Leona (Vesledahl) Bugge. He was baptized at Calvary Lutheran Church in Winger, and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. He attended Washington Elementary School, Franklin Middle School and Lincoln High School. Lance took welding at the AVTI in Thief River Falls, graduating in Auto Body.

Lance worked at Northland Foods for about three years, starting in 1989. He began working for Arctic Cat in 1992, where he welded for eight years and drove forklift for the last two years. He also worked part time at the Club.

He was an avid hunter with bow and guns, loved playing pool, fishing and enjoyed making antler mounts for family and friends. Most of all Lance loved spending time with his kids and family and extended family, who were very important to him.

Lance was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a life member of the American Hunting Club.

Survivors include five children: Brandi Bjorgaard, Dalton Fredrickson, Lance Dexter Bugge, Jr., Emily Bugge and Madison Bugge; special friend, Joy Haverkamp and her children; his parents; one brother, Brian (Julie) of Thief River Falls; one sister, Jessica (special friend Darwin Klemetson) Bugge of Thief River Falls; six uncles and one aunt; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Einar and Louella "Grandma LuLu" Vesledahl; paternal grandparents, Earl and June Bugge; half-brother, Chad Allen Bugge in infancy. A00003B2004FB25
