June Bugge, 82

Thief River Falls - June Bugge, 82, died on Monday, July 28, 2003 at the CNC Unit at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Bugge, June p.m. on Friday, August 1 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with the Rev. Terri Cuppett officiating. Casketbearers will be Lance Bugge, Brian Bugge, Jessica Bugge, Shawn Bugge, Brandon Bugge, Kris Leonhardt, Kim Pearson, Shannon Bugge-Turman, Michelle Bugge Barry, Amanda Bugge, Cory Bugge and Adam Bugge. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Thursday, July 31 at Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls and also for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

June Lyla Lund was born in Wildrose, N.D., on November 8, 1920, the daughter of Oscar and Margaret (Zelmar) Lund. She was baptized and confirmed in Crosby, N.D. She grew up and attended school in Wildrose, N.D. She then moved to Thief River Falls, where she worked at Mercy Hospital.

On March 29, 1943, June was united in marriage to Earl Bugge in Moorhead. The couple resided in Numedal Township of Pennington County. June worked at the Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Wash., for a short time before returning to Thief River Falls, where she worked at Valley Home from 1966 until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, watching baseball on television, enjoying her time spent with her grandchildren, working on puzzles and making refrigerator cookies.

Survivors include four sons, Neil (Sharon), Bruce (Ruth), Keith (Leona), all of Thief River Falls, and John (Sharon) of St. Hilaire; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Keith (Wilma) Lund of Spokane, Wash.; sisters, Audrey (Elmer) Charvat of Spokane, Wash., Betty (Hugh) Ross of Tacoma, Wash., and Joyce Wykoff of Livermore, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents; one grandson; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Clem and Oscar, Jr.; and sister, Darlene Lund. A00003B2003JL30
