Thief
River Falls - Caroline Brunelle, 94, died on
Sunday, July 04, 2004 at the CNC Unit of Northwest
Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Mass
of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard's
Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 8,
with Father Tim McGee presiding. Interment will
follow at St. Peter Cemetery in Gentilly.
Visitation
will be held at Johnson-Green Funeral Service in
Thief River Falls on Wednesday, July 7, from 5 to 8
p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
Caroline
Goulet was born December 29, 1909 in Crookston, the
daughter of John J. and Alphonsine (St. Martin)
Goulet. She was baptized at St. Anne Catholic
Church in Crookston and was confirmed at St. Peter
Catholic Church in Gentilly.
Caroline
attended District 140 School in Polk, County.
Caroline
was united in marriage to Patrick J. Brunelle,
November 12, 1928 at St. Peter Catholic Church.
She
worked at M & D Café, was an
owner-partner of the Mint Café with Sally
Barstad from 1946 to 1951. Caroline also worked at
Sioux Café, Northrup Elementary School for
12 years and the Eagles Club for 40 years until
retiring at the age of 89.
Survivors
include two children, Patricia Ann (Robert) Reed of
Thief River Falls and Gloria Mae (Lawrence) Roy of
Longmont, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Rose Anna (Sister Anne) and Cecelia
(Sister Florentine) of the Order of St. Benedict of
Crookston.
She
was preceded in death by a grandchild; and a
brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Doris
