Thief
River Falls - Margaret "Peggy" Brown, 91, died
on Sunday, August 4, 2002 at Northwest Medical
Center, CNC Unit in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 7,
2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home with Rev.
Dan Horn officiating. Ida Nordvall was the organist
and Diane Johnson provided special music.
Casketbearers were Lowell Anderson, Jay Eckel,
Keith Wheeler, Donald LaFave and Leo Thompson.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Margaret
"Peggy" J. Brown was born on March 12, 1911, the
daughter of John and Mae (Dieffenbaugh) Brown in
Thief River Falls. She was baptized on October 18,
1920. She attended school in Thief River Falls and
graduated from Lincoln High School in
1932.
Peggy
worked as a lab assistant at Northwestern Hospital
in Thief River Falls for 23 years. She also ran
Peggy's Uniform Shop from her home, selling nurses
uniforms, for many years. Peggy loved baseball,
especially the Minnesota Twins. She also enjoyed
reading and growing African Violets. Peggy was a
member of the Methodist Church. She has resided at
the CNC Unit since 1997.
Survivors
include one brother, Kenneth (Verna) of Seattle,
Wash.; a sister-in-law; three nieces; and six
nephews.
Peggy
was preceded in death by her parents; one sister,
Esther LaFave McKechnie; and two brothers, Roy and
John.
