Badger
- Randy Brazier, 16, died on Sunday, May 18,
2003 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo,
N.D.
Funeral
services were held on Friday, May 23 in the Badger
School Gymnasium with the Revs. Leroy Flickenger
and Erling Huglen officiating. Tammy Wahl was the
organist and Nikki Wojchowski, Brock Dexter,
Karissa Jenson and Allison Thureen were vocalists.
Casketbearers were the Gator Wrestling Team.
Honorary casketbearers were all those who attended
the service. Interment was in Nannestad Cemetery in
Badger.
Randy
Keith Brazier was born on May 3, 1987, the son of
Keith Brazier and Sandra (Skogstad) Landin, in Ft.
Worth, Texas. At the age of three months, he moved
to Roseau, and three years later, to Badger, where
he was a sophomore at Badger High School. He was
baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and
was a member of the Oiland Lutheran Church near
Badger.
Randy
loved wrestling, which he started in first grade at
Roseau, and continued in Badger. He began racing
go-carts at age 10, racing two and a half seasons.
He also raced mini sprints occasionally. In the
fall of 2002, he was named Homecoming Prince of his
class in Badger.
Survivors
include his father, Keith (fianceé, Julie
Anderson) of Badger; his mother, Sandy (Troy)
Landin of Grand Forks, N.D.; brother, Aaron Brazier
of Badger; sisters, Jamie Landin of Grand Forks,
N.D., Crystal Landin of Baudette, and Emily Edgar
of Warren; grandparents, Diane Monsrud of Grand
Forks, Dennis and Betty Skogstad of Thief River
Falls, Vernon Landin of Warroad, Allen (Sherri)
Brazier of Greenbush, and Bonnie Wahl of Arizona;
great-grandmother, Edna (Edward) Melby of
Greenbush; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and
other relatives.
Randy was
preceded in death by his grandmother, Carla Landin;
and great-grandparents, Art and Edna Skogstad,
Edmond and Myrtle Monsrud, Victor Wahl, Harry
Brazier, Hubert and Gladys Mattson, and Doris and
