- Dore Boucher, 88, died on Monday, May 19,
2003 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River
Falls.
Funeral
services were held on Tuesday, May 27 at St.
Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee with the
Rev. John Kleinwachter officiating. Barb Melby was
the organist and Deb Amiot and Cindy Lambert were
soloists. Casketbearers were LeRoy Carriere, Philip
Gibeau, Eldon Elleson, Arnold Carriere, Louis
Dessillier and Scott Grove. Interment was in St.
Joseph Cemetery in Brooks.
Dore
Carriere was born on October 20, 1914, the daughter
of Stanislous and Azelia (Boucher) Carriere, in
Brooks. She was baptized and confirmed at St.
Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks.
On
November 15, 1937, she married Emil Boucher in
Brooks. The couple made their home in the Brooks
area, until they moved to Oklee. Dore enjoyed
sewing quilts and handicrafts. She was a member of
St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, St.
Ann Society Guild and a member of the "Sew &
Save" Club.
Survivors
include a daughter, Carol (Dennis) Craft of Elk
River; two grandsons; one sister-in-law, Celina
Carriere of LaHaba, Calif.; and many nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Dore was
preceded in death by her huband, Emil; an infant
son, Larry; her parents; one brother, William; four
sisters, Alexina Dessellier, Delima Champagne,
Pearl Reindeau and Doria Gibeau; and many friends
and neighbors.
