Fargo,
N.D. - Maryann Bothun, 66, formerly of Viking,
died on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Innovis Hospital
in Fargo, N.D.
Funeral
services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June
4 (today) at Nativity Catholic Church in Fargo,
N.D.
Maryann
R. Schneider was born in Hannah, N.D., on July 5,
1936, the daughter of Walter and Helena (Fischer)
Schneider. She attended school in Mount Carmel,
N.D., and graduated from Sebeka High School in
1954.
In 1959,
she married Chris Bothun in Blue Grass. The couple
lived in Langdon, N.D., for two years, then moved
to Minneapolis. In 1969, they moved to a farmstead
near Viking for 10 years. They moved to LaMoure,
N.D., before retiring to Fargo in 1992. From 1954
to present, Maryann was employed in various
customer service positions in addition to running
her business, Crafts by Maryann, for 25
years.
Maryann
enjoyed playing bingo, butterfly gardening and
shopping with family and friends.
Survivors
include her husband, Chris; three children, Debra
(Bruce) Rokke of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., Richard
(Sharon) of Owatonna, and Linda (Frank) Froysland
of Fargo, N.D.; five sisters, Doretta Swanson of
Langdon, N.D., Betty Swenson of International
Falls, Marge Schneider of Farmington, Helen
Oestreich of Effie, and Shirley Bengtson of
Rosemount; and nine grandchildren;
Maryann
was preceded in death by her parents and her
brother, Donald Schneider.
