Cemetery in Grand Forks, N.D.
Robert
Wilbert "Bob" Bohm was born April 28, 1923 in
Cummings, N.D., the son of Henry and Emma (Staska)
Bohm. Bob was raised and attended school in the
Thompson &endash; Reynolds, N.D. area. Following
school, Bob joined the Civilian Conservation Corps,
where he helped the construction of several
projects around the state, including the Peace
Gardens.
On
September 26, 1944, Bob married Violet Caroline
Braseth in Reynolds, N.D. In 1950, Bob began
working for Kraft Foods, where he worked as a
warehouse manager for his first 20 years and the
next 15 years were spent as a truck driver, before
retiring in 1985 after 35 years.
Bob
enjoyed spending time with his family and
grandchildren and traveling to Texas for the
winters, washing his car, mowing his yard, and
playing shuffleboard.
Bob
was a member of the East Grand Forks
Eagles.
Survivors
include his wife, Violet; two sons, Jon (Treva)
Bohm, St. Paul Park, and Kevin (Barb) Bohm of St.
Hilaire; and four grandchildren.
Bob
was preceded in death by his parents, four
brothers, two sisters and a daughter, Julie Ann.
