Oscar Berg, 93 Thief River Falls - Oscar Berg, 93, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls. Memorial services were held on Saturday, September 6 at Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Carlyle Mugaas as speaker. Interment was in Lone Oak Cemetery in Fourtown. Oscar Berg was born on August 17, 1910 in Oklee, the son of Thorvald and Ragneld (Olson) Berg. He moved with his family to Minnie Township when he was four years old and lived there until 1996 when he moved into Grygla. In November 1997, he moved into Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls, where he has since resided. Oscar loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and was an avid trapper. He won many awards for his prize pelts. Survivors include his sister, Ann Helgeson of Moorhead, and several nieces and nephews.
