River Falls - William Belanus, 24, died on
Friday, August 22, 2003 near Galesburg,
N.D.
Memorial
services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday,
August 27 at Elm River Lutheran Church in
Galesburg,
N.D., and at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 at
St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Walhalla, N.D.
Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in
Walhalla.
William
Bert Belanus was born in Langdon, N.D., on April
19, 1979, the son of Charles W. and JoAnn (Wahl)
Belanus. He grew up in Galesburg, N.D., and
graduated from Mayville Portland Clifford Galesburg
High School in 1997 with honors. He attended
Mayville State University and graduated with a
bachelor of science degree in mathematics and
physics.
On
January 18, 2003 he married Christine Bjornstad in
Larimore, N.D. He worked for Traill County Highway
Department for six years, Idea/Onics in Mayville
and as a security guard at Mayville State
University. He was currently employed at Bumper to
Bumper in Thief River Falls.
Survivors
include his wife, Christine Belanus and son,
Gerrit, of Thief River Falls; one daughter, Sarah
Belanus of Emerado, N.D.; his father, Charles W.
Belanus of Galesburg, N.D.; two sisters, Jody
(Curtis) Belanus-Condon of Mayville, N.D., and
Bonnie Belanus of Fargo, N.D.; and
grandparents.
William
was preceded in death by his
grandfather.
