Springs, Ark. - Helen Anderson Beebe, 84, of
Hot Springs, Ark. and formerly of Thief River Falls
and Bemidji, died on Thursday, March 18, 2004.
Helen
was born August 25, 1919 in Thief River Falls, the
daughter late Sigvard and Louisa Engelstad
Anderson. She graduated from Lincoln High School in
1937. Following graduation, she was employed as a
secretary to L.B. Hartz. She was also crowned Miss
Thief River Falls in 1937.
She
was united in marriage to Wendell Beebe. They
resided in Bemidji until 1955 when they moved to
Hot Springs, Ark. Wendell preceded her in death in
1971.
Helen
continued to live in Hot Springs and was employed
with Pfeifer/Blass and Dillard's from 1968 until
she retired in 2001 at the age of 82. She received
numerous awards, receiving national awards from
Estee Lauder for her outstanding work.
Memorial
services were held on Tuesday, March 23, at First
United Methodist Church in Hot Springs, officiated
by Rev. David Wilson.
Survivors
include a daughter, Carol (Thomas L.) Beebe Hodges
of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Lori
Arnold of Hot Springs, Ark.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband;
one son, Dr. John Beebe; and two sisters, Violet
Anderson Molldrem and Alice Anderson Munt.
