Thief
River Falls - Keith Baune, 25, died Saturday,
August 25, 2001 as a result of injuries sustained
in a car accident.
Services
were held at 3 p.m. on 
Tuesday,
August 28, at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River
Falls with Rev. Dennis Raymond officiating. Phyllis
Dalager was the organist, and the soloist was
Christine VanEmmerik. Green Funeral Home of Thief
River Falls was in charge of the
arrangements.
Keith
Robert Baune was born on May 1, 1976 in Thief River
Falls, the son of Robert and Diane (Reese) Baune.
He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran
Church and attended Washington and Knox elementary
schools, Franklin Middle School and Lincoln High
School, graduating in 1994. Keith worked
construction, tended bar and most recently, worked
at the casino.
While
attending Lincoln High School, he was active in
drama. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church
where he was active in Luther League and
accompanied the group on several trips.
Keith
enjoyed playing basketball in the Thief River Falls
city league and spending time with his nieces and
nephews.
Survivors
include his mother, Diane Baune of Thief River
Falls; his father, Robert Baune of Thief River
Falls; a sister, Kelley (fiance Ryan Iverson) of
Thief River Falls; two half brothers, Paul
Helgeland in Minnesota and Chad (Jana) Helgeland of
Andover; several nieces and nephews; his
grandparents, Joyce Reese of Thief River Falls,
Bernard Reese of Plummer and Norman and Shirley
Baune of Kramer, N.D.; and numerous aunts, uncles
