Almena, Wisc. - Harold V. Austad, 56, died Friday, December 1, 2000 at Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Cumberland, Wisc.
Funeral services
were held at 11 
a.m. on Tuesday,
December 5 at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland with Rev. James
Thunstrom officiating. Casketbearers were Randy Wappula, Bob Wappula,
Jeff Frederiksen, Ryan Frederiksen, David Austad and Alvin Madison.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Turtle Lake, Wisc. with Skinner
Funeral Homes of Cumberland in charge of the arrangements.
Harold V. Austad was born on October 30, 1944 in Thief River Falls, the son of Iver and Dena (Olson) Austad.
He was married on January 27, 1973 to Doris Bennor at Moorhead.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Austad of Almena, Wisc.; a son, Glen Austad of Almena; a daughter, Pamela Austad of Almena; seven sisters, Barbara (Oral) Ranum of Stanley, N.D., Sylvia (Ray) Ranum of Maplewood, Irene (Richard) Pace of Carson City, Nev., Agnes Dazell of Stanley, N.D., Millie Austad of Moorhead, Dagne Frederiksen of Spring Lake Park, and Virginia (Ernest) Wappula of Hugo; a brother, Daniel Austad of Thief River Falls; three sister-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Marion; and four brothers, Donald, Raymond, Allen and infant Glen.
