V. Rose Asp, 73

Faribault - V. Rose Asp, 73, died Friday, May 24, 2002 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, May 29) at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Faribault with Rev. Allan Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m. at the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center-Stave Church in Moorhead. Boldt Funeral Home of Faribault is in charge of the arrangements.

Rose Foldoe was born on July 28, 1928 in Swift, the daughter of Lars and Hannah (Rosell) Foldoe.

She married Robert L. Asp on June 2, 1946. He died on December 27, 1980.

Rose was head of security for Kmart in Fargo, N.D., served as a guardian ad litem, was employed by Cass County Social Services in Fargo, providing homebound services for the elderly, and later at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Faribault.

Surviving Rose are three sons, Douglas (Sally) Asp of Embarrass, Roger (Sharon) Asp of Coon Rapids, and Thomas Asp of Edgerton, Wisc.; three daughters, Marjorie Kuenn of Lee's Summit, Mo., Vicki (Steven) Bremer of Anoka, and Deborah (Robert) Seitz of Faribault; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Kaufmann of Niagra Falls, N.Y. and Betty Westberg of Warren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a son, Gregory Asp; and two sisters, Florence and Betty Foldoe, in infancy. A00003B2002MY29
