Robert Arneson, 62

Omaha, Neb. - Robert Arneson, 62, died Thursday, December 20, 2001 at his home in Omaha, Neb.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 26, in Omaha with burial in Valley View Cemetery in Persia, Iowa.

Robert Clarence Arneson was born on May 11, 1939 in Duluth, the son of Clarence and Eloise Arneson. The family moved to the Thief River Falls area where Robert grew up on a farm near Hazel. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1957, he moved to Omaha, Neb.

On July 8, 1971, Robert married Bonita Andersen in Omaha.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 184, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Fraternal Order of Police 1, American Legion Post 1 and Keystone Citizens Patrol.

Survivors include three sons, Michael (Laurie), Thomas and Martin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Lian of Thief River Falls and Florence Gjerstad of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; a brother, Harold Arneson of Thief River Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a special niece. A00003B2001JA02
