Milaca
- Lloyd Arlt, 74, died on Monday, October 14,
2002 at the Fairview University Medical Center in
Minneapolis.
Memorial
services were held on Saturday, October 19 at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Vernon
Dorn officiating. Interment was in Borgholm
Cemetery, near Bock.
Lloyd
Arlt was born on May 1, 1928, the son of August and
Mattie (Gustafson) Arlt in Plummer. He graduated
from Pershing High School in Plummer. Later, he
attended Coyne Technical School in Chicago, Ill.
and received training as a master electrician. He
married Rose Mary Cosgrove on July 8, 1951 in Los
Angeles, Calif. The couple resided in northern
California for four years before returning to
Plummer in 1956. Lloyd worked for Langlie Electric
until 1965, when the couple moved to Coon Rapids.
There Lloyd worked for Gopher Electric until his
retirement in 1990. In 1992, the couple retired to
Borgholm Township near Milaca, where Lloyd has
enjoyed spending time with his family.
Lloyd
was a member of Local 292 IBEW and a member of St.
Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca. Lloyd also
enjoyed nature, woodworking, traveling and
gardening.
Survivors
include his wife, Rose Mary; daughter, Linda (Dean)
Hunt of Milaca; three sons, Daniel of Lexington,
N.C., James (Luanne) of St. Michael and Randy of
Dorchester, Neb.; eight grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Ulrich and
Alice Cormican, both of Plummer; and brother,
Arnold (Wilma) of Plummer.
Lloyd
was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers
